Wounded Warrior of Alabama Charity Golf Tournament

The Inaugural Charity Golf Tournament benefiting Wounded Warrior of Alabama is set for August 12 at Silver Lakes Golf Course in Gadsden. This one-of-a-kind tournament offers you the opportunity to win a 50’’ television and even to become a millionaire.

The tournament begins with a shotgun start at 9:00 am. All golfers will receive a t-shirt, lunch, and a swag bag with the price of entry.

Early Bird Registration ($85 per golfer) is now extended to August 10, including the mulligan/power drive package ($15 per golfer). The mulligan/power drive package includes one mulligan, one power drive, and automatic registration into the Grand Prize Raffle for a 50’’ LCD TV (must be present to win).

Beginning August 11, registration is $100 per golfer, and the mulligan/power drive package is $20. Golfers may register up until the day of the tournament. Registration closes at 8:00 am on Aug 12.

Two raffles are available for entry, both of which benefit Wounded Warrior of Alabama.

Million Dollar Shootout – $5 per raffle ticket

Each raffle ticket equals one chance at being selected as one of three golfers given the opportunity to hole a 165 yard shot and win one million dollars.

Pick up your Million Dollar Shootout raffle tickets in advance at Insight Magazine home office, Cheaha Vapes, or the American Back Institute.

Grand Prize Raffle

Every golfer who purchases a mulligan/power drive package will receive a raffle ticket for the Grand Prize Raffle on the day of the tournament. The winner will receive a 50’’ LCD TV.

Other tournament prizes will be awarded for the longest drive and closest-to-the-pin competitions. You’ll also find a silent auction at Silver Lakes on the day of the tournament, which also benefits Wounded Warrior of Alabama.




Wounded Warriors of Alabama is a 501-C3 Total Non-Profit Organization. WWA was established in 2016 with the goal of helping as many military veterans in the state of Alabama as possible.

WWA focuses on day-to-day needs of veterans such as paying rent, buying groceries, affording medicine, and more. All monies raised by and for Wounded Warrior of Alabama remains in Alabama to assist our wounded warriors.
