Choccolocco Park leads the industry with its new 300+ acre one-of-a-kind, state of the art sports complex in Oxford, Alabama. Kayak at Choccolocco Park

Friday-Saturday 9am-4pm; Sunday 1pm-4pm. Float takes approximately 1.5-2 hours. Kayak rental facility and parking are located across from the Choccolocco Park entrance at the Leon Smith Parkway/Boiling Springs Road intersection. Visitors will be transported by van to kayak put-in access point near Cider Ridge Golf Club. Visitors will float Choccolocco Creek until they reach the take-out access point at kayak rental facility.

Oxford Lake

Oxford Lake is a great place for friends and family with several activities to offer. Visitors can enjoy the .67-mile walking track encompassing the lake, the many covered picnic pavilions, the fully equipped children’s playground, and the benches strategically placed around the lake.
The beautiful Oxford Lake has been a hub of activity in the City of Oxford for decades. The 10 pavilions surrounding the lake provide the residence of Oxford with an ideal location for family gatherings, birthday parties, and business meetings. Oxford Lake is also home to Alabama’s oldest covered bridge. Built in 1850, the stunning Coldwater Covered Bridge is a history landmark in Oxford.
